How Aurizon Reduced their Risk Violations from Over 1 Million Violations to 40 by Driving GRC Best Practice

Aurizon was able to achieve full access risk compliance after a one and a half year journey to close out 1.7 million access risk violations, following the implementation of GRC. An extensive review and analysis process was performed, reducing that number to around 40.

To achieve this, senior management, the SAP security team, finance representatives, and security stewards were engaged throughout the process to understand the steps needed to be taken, interpret the data and participate in formulating a remediation plan that aligned with SAP Best Practice. Following the achievement of these results, the next phase for Aurizon is to improve and build on the governance framework and work towards controls self-assessment.

Implementing S/4HANA Public Cloud – Learnings from McGrathNicol

Gartner research suggests that up to 75% of ERP implementations fail, and predicts that up to 90% of cloud ERP implementations will meet the same fate as they result in higher costs, greater complexity and failed integrations.

McGrathNicol was one of the first Australian businesses to implement S/4HANA public cloud, SAP’s true SaaS ERP model. Although the journey wasn’t perfect, and there’s further work to do, early days suggest the implementation has successfully delivered on our core objectives.

Managing Expense Claims and Petty Cash in a “Cashless” Society

See how PanAust Services have utilised SAP FIORI and SAP Suite on HANA to create an app to transform the way their expense claims and petty cash process are managed. Replacing what was previously a paper-based solution, the new app now enables employees to complete their expenses and petty cash claims, via a mobile device – anytime, anywhere.
