Overnight – 3.30am AEST – the World Health Organisation has now “Declared Coronavirus a Pandemic”.
We are very sorry to announce that we have made the very difficult decision to postpone Mastering SAP in Melbourne.
Since “Victoria Prepares For a Lockdown” was published in yesterday’s AFR, we’ve had:
- 80 delegate cancellations
- 11 speakers withdraw from the program
- 3 sponsors withdraw their support
- Strong indication from Public Sector attendees about imminent travel restrictions
Whilst 450 people are still registered, it’s obvious from the tsunami of cancellations that there’s a growing perception that it’s irresponsible for us not to postpone. With so many speakers having to withdraw so close to the event, we now cannot ensure the quality that Mastering SAP is renowned for.
This has been the hardest (and saddest) decision our company has ever had to make. It’s the first event we’ve had to postpone or cancel in our 25-year history.
As soon as we can secure alternate dates, we’ll let you know. In the meantime, please bear with us. We’re doing our very best to adjust our planning and expect to be on top of things in a few weeks.
As a small business, we’re mindful of the hurt this will have on other small event suppliers who are already suffering as a result of the Coronavirus-effect.
We are also very sorry for the impact we have caused you.
