Insights into Workplace Absenteeism Management at Anglo American Platinum

At Anglo American Platinum, we have been able to successfully manage Workplace Absenteeism via automated disciplinary action and efficient use of a shift adjustment tool and self-help kiosk for blue-collar employees. In-house System Conversion to S/4HANA Finance

In February 2017, the MultiChoice SAP Centre of Excellence performed a system conversion from ECC 6.07 to S4HANA Finance 1605. The conversion was performed successfully on the first attempt by the in-house team, with less than 18 hours of downtime. When a Cloud Implementation Doesn’t Go According to Plan – Turning it Around

Christchurch City Council embarked on their digital strategy with a HANA Enterprise Cloud implementation at the start of 2018. It was the first step as part of the organisation’s roadmap to create a foundation for a modern digital platform to take us through next decade. It was a key element for our goal of a financial transformation.
The project was on track, right up to the last minute. What seemed like a straightforward and well-practiced implementation suddenly didn’t go according to plan. A production outage stopping us in our tracks. Effecting the whole Council and all the city’s ratepayers.

As performance problems persisted, this is the story of how the Christchurch City Council and SAP NZ worked together to achieve a unified recovery.
By not being afraid of the hard conversations and accepting open and honest feedback both ways. This session will share advice and tips on overcoming implementation setbacks and turn implementation challenges into a positive outcome for the business.
